More INK is not the answer

When you start to mess the drawing up, adding more ink does not solve the problem! You can press down as hard as you want, the problem will still be there! Having a heque of a time inking tonight. I’m stopping before something flies across my room and makes a black splotch of india ink on the wall, a splotch that matches the stain on my soul. Oh! That’s just sweater lint.

Happy birthday to my little sister Sara today! She has turned the ripe old age of twenty-something. She’s finally caught up. She’s the same age as me. Sara is in Cincinnati making her way as a thespian and doer of good. We decided tonight on the phone that Labor Day weekend is “SiblingFest 2003 - Columbus.” She will visit for the weekend and we will take in all that is Columbus Ohio.

On I go, putting ink to paper, whistling along with the “Two Towers” soundtrack.

Wolfgang one time

My Dad sent me an article from the Flushing Observer about Richard Wolfgang, my high school art teacher. The article talks about his gallery in Macinac Island.

We had a lot of great discussions in that art room, while listening to (usually) great music. I got a lot out of his class, not just about art, but about life-stuff too. The art room was always open if you needed somewhere to go, like if you needed to be somewhere other than your Trig class or your Spanish class or whatever.
