Mia’s Baby Room / Beach
Welcome to my new friend: , fellow gamer, CCAD-grad, comic-reader, artist, and good fella. Thanks for adding me as a friend!
Mike and I finished up Mike and Nadya’s beach room. Mike has an artistic streak - I may have to hire him to help me if I do any more room murals. He painted all kinds of shapes and colors; all I needed to do was paint the black lines around the shapes. It turned out … beachy!
So real, it fools the eye! You think that’s a real pail and shovel on that desk!
He needs glasses!
I am a lighthouse, worn by the weather and the waves.
Mike did all the hard work, really.
Tree and ball in the corner.
Here’s a wall.
My sister is in a new play in Dayton called “Green Gables,” a musical based on the “Anne of Green Gables” books. She plays a mean woman with mean kids (?) and is a member of the ensemble. It’s the first production she had done for “The Human Race” in Dayton. Apparently, the director wasn’t going to cast her, but a couple of other folks pushed for her and she got in. My prediction: That’s all she needed to become a regular super-star in Dayton. And that’s NOT just big brother talking!
The house. MAN, it’s a mess. The lawn needs to be mowed (not really, but the neighbor is a crazy lawn-mower. His grass is like a golf-course and lush-green like … um .. a leprechaun’s shoes … or something.) Inside my house, the cat has planted small clumps of fur in the white carpet which seem to be growing into smaller cats. He is preparing an army to stage a coup at the house. Some morning I’m sure I will wake up chained to his scratching post. In other house-news, the garage door on the right is no longer in operation. Unfortunately the “track tape” has corroded to the point of blocking the mechanism from moving up and down … I can buy new “tape” for $40, but I’m not really sure how the heck I would install it. I’ll give it the old college try.
Finally, work continues on the geocaching card game. I should have pictures up on my website soon. Ryan’s vision is really clear, and it’s going to be exciting to see this project happen. I’m on my last card of our “preview package” that we will send to Groundspeak. Then they can decide what their financial commitment will be.
Columbus people - how about this weekend? Beautiful! I wish I had spent at least a minute outside.
