Illustration Friday - Wired
I raided the old, brown, torn-up paper portfolio that holds my college work for this week’s Illustration Friday challenge. I found this image from my Decorative Illustration class with Mr. Boley, (who, besides being an excellent illustrator and teacher, is also a member of Boley and the ____’s, a band that played at the High Beck every Thursday night.)
At the time, 1998, I thought it represented the next phase in human evolution. Flabby. Spineless. On rails. Oh, and very wired. Instead, it turned out to be a dire portent of Future-Me. I’m only missing the refrigerator tube.

Great Drawing! I love it. I can relate to this, being a runner…I see this alot with those who get all the fancy hi tech gear, but then sit on the sofa eating chips. Thanks for the comment on my blog. And yes, Obey the D!

I think you’ve perfectly brought it to life…love the dark ink style.
