Interested in the Future

Criswell Predicts!

“Greetings, my friend. We are all interested in the future, for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives. And remember my friend, future events such as these will affect you in the future.”
- Criswell, Plan 9 From Outer Space

I breathe a congested sigh of relief as I throw my work glove into the grass box. I survey the freshly cut lawn. Then I sneeze twenty-nine times. Still, it’s good to see the front yard looking green and crisp, even through allergy-induced tears. Now that the chores are done, I can head up to the aft chamber, my empty Sanctum Sanctorum, and see about a quick blog post.

It’s about friggin’ time.

No, I’m not deprecating myself for my lack of posts, though an apology is definitely in order. I mean this post. It’s about the subject of time. Waiting. Patiently. While time passes on, moving turtley towards a golden opportunity.

Bald Head tells future

While I’m not quite ready to reveal my recent, big life changes on the old blog, I can say that I’m looking forward to the future. A collection of sweet opportunities has cropped up, making it possible for me to pursue some lifelong goals, namely, drawing cartoons, painting pictures and writing nonsense for fun and profit.

Though it be a challenge unknown to me, I’m anxious to get started. It must have sucked to have been a clairvoyant like The Amazing Criswell, seeing the future yet having to wait around for it to get here. (ha!)

Enjoying a laugh, Dynamic Duo style

There are already enough cryptic comments in this post to fill an episode of X-Files, (annoying, in’t it?)

Gotta get back in time!

Let me leave it with this: Whether you are reading this because you stop by the Glimbit blog every now and then, or because you’ve added it to your newsreader and were shocked to see something new actually show up, or because you found this website somewhere and it’s brand new to you … come back soon! Keep watching! I’ll have some worthwhile posts again soon, once we catch up to the future.

More to come? Totally.
